Privacy and the “Law of Everything”

In honor of Data Privacy Day 2022, the Women in Security and the Privacy SIGs have teamed up to bring you a joint webinar. We will discuss the fact that Privacy Regulations (GDPR, PIPL, CPRA, CCPA, VCDPA, CoPA) seem to be in every aspect of business, security, compliance, and risk. Has the pendulum swung too far? For years no one talked about privacy or data protection nor understood that all data about people should be considered personal data. Now security professionals and other business leaders seem to think that just because personal data is involved that it is a privacy issue. This panel will discuss use cases around how privacy and security professionals must work together to help organizations make better decisions around the use of personal data.
