Know your Privacy Settings

Privacy and security settings can be very confusing and overwhelming. As part of Data Privacy Week, the National Cybersecurity Alliance created a page with links to the privacy and security setting directions for over 50 popular applications like Venmo, Spotify, Zoom, Whova, and many more.

Check it out here.

Example:

Did you know the popular payment app Venmo – by default when you first create an account - shares all your transaction details to the public feed and anyone on the internet may be able to see that you paid $53 to Uncle Benny for $m0k3?

To change this, go to your “Settings” and select “Privacy” and then select “Private” - EASY and now the entire world doesn’t see your transactions 😊
